Sales revenue of Draka's communications division (where the optical fiber and cable business was located) was 384.7 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 6.9. %, a slight increase of 2.1% compared to the second half of last year. Excluding the impact of copper prices, sales revenue in the first half of this year was basically the same as last year.
In terms of Japanese manufacturers, in the first half of 2010, Fujikura's fiber optic cable business revenue was 17 billion yen, an increase of 12.5% ​​compared to the same period last year; Sumitomo fiber optic cable sector revenue was 38.2 billion yen, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%; Furukawa this year The revenue from optical fiber and cable services also increased by 11.4% over the six months.
